DUI Consequences in Newton, Warren and Sussex Counties

Understanding what a drunk driving charge could mean for you

A driving under the influence (DUI) conviction means more than fines or even jail time. Other DUI consequences, including probation, license suspension, mandatory education and treatment, and ignition interlock requirements can seriously interfere with your life even if you manage to avoid jail time. Unfortunately, many people in Morris, Passaic, Warren and Sussex Counties facing DUI charges do not know their rights and do not fully appreciate the consequences they are facing. That is why it is always to your benefit to have help from an experienced DUI defense attorney. Our lawyers at Hollander, Strelzik, Pasculli, Hinkes, Wojcik, Gacquin, Vandenberg & Hontz, L.L.C. are committed to providing not only representation, but advice, confidence and support to people facing DUI charges. Our reputation, built over 50 years as part of the Newton community, allows us to effectively work with prosecutors and law enforcement to obtain favorable results for our clients.

  • Second offense
    • 48 hours to 90 days in jail
    • Two-year license suspension
    • 30 days of community service
    • Up to 48 hours in IDRC
    • Up to $6,000 in total fines, surcharges and assessments
    • Ignition interlock for one to three years after restoration
